Welcome to the AA-Alcove Group
Welcome to our-around-the-world cybercove. We are glad you are here and hope you will enjoy our calm, quiet and easy going peacefulness. We encourage you to come in, relax, make yourself at home and become part of our community.
You'll be able to navigate effortlessly around this site and at your leisure read various opinions on the subject of alcoholism. They've been posted throughout by AA-Alcove Group members and visitors from other AA Groups and elsewhere.
In order for you to get to know us better we invite you to visit our "Open" Discussion Forums.
In our Alcove, everyone's welcome and valued. Anyone who drops in can choose to be either a Guest here or a Registered Member. Either way, we welcome all personal questions about or experiences with alcohol/alcoholism. Also, we always welcome feedback on what you think about our site; your comments could help to make this alcove exactly how you'd like it to be and will also help us get to know you better.
We warmly invite you to join our "Group Conscience" Usergroup if you would like to become a more active member of our fellowship. As a "Group Conscience" member, you can become involved in the running of our alcove.
The only requirement for membership of AA and our Alcove is "a desire to stop drinking." There are no dues or fees for AA-Alcove membership as we are self-supporting through our own contributions. If you choose to become a "registered member" of AA-Alcove, you will automatically be granted access to the full roster of "Open" Discussion Forums and some of our "Closed" forums. If you choose to become a member of our "Group Conscience" Usergroup you will be able to read and post in all our forums.
Should you decide that it is right for you to register with us please would you confirm the AA-Alcove response link that will automatically be sent to your e-mail address once we've received your application.
Our AA-Alcove group fellowship includes men and women from many countries and many backgrounds with different life experiences. We hope you will enjoy our fellowship of grateful and friendly survivors of the "cunning, baffling and powerful" disease of alcoholism.
Alcoholism doesn't discriminate and nor do we...everyone for whom alcohol is or has been a problem, or who wishes to know more about alcoholism and how it's possible to recover from it, is welcome at AA-Alcove.
We look forward to meeting you inside our alcove; our on-line "Fellowship of the Spirit." Whether you decide to be just a guest here, a registered member or a "Group Conscience" member, we are so very glad that you are here.
